Read on to find out more and get easy tips on how to incorporate organic in your everyday life. And the good news is, you don't have to get your own allotment to live a more organic life!
What is Organic September
Organic September is a month-long campaign powered by the Soil Association designed to raise awareness of the many benefits of organic farming. Organic farming helps our planet in many different ways, for example: supports biodiversity, helps combat climate change and helps upkeep the highest standards of animal welfare. Organic is good for the animals, the planet and for the people.
Fear not, you don't need to be an organic farmer to benefit from Organic September! You don't even need an allotment! It can all start with your weekly shop and some computer-based research!
Why choose organic?
Organic is the way to go if you want to avoid toxic and unnecessary chemicals* in your food or beauty products. By choosing organic you are also getting better quality products, rich in nutrients and kind to the planet.
Industrial farming, with the main focus on mass production and efficiency, does not care about environmental impact, the nutritional value of the product, damage to pollinators or pollution of waterways. By choosing organic you can help preserve precious resources, contribute to fighting climate change, help respect earth's natural environment and preserve its endless beauty for future generations and also, become part of the solution to the environmental damage caused by years of industrial farming!
What's not to like? And all this at the same time as getting quality, nutritionally rich and full of flavour food and beauty products densely packed with nature's precious offering without the nasty and unnecessary chemicals*!
*Disclaimer: not all chemicals are bad, for example, water or caffeine is a chemical!

You may have to swap your favourites for new products or brands. But change is good and you may discover small, sustainable producers in the process.
